Luke says Moo!

My life and the world as I see it. It’ll mostly be a place for me to gripe and friends to keep up with me.

1 year of work

by @ Wednesday, June 28th, 2006. Filed under Me, Work

Well, today, June 28, 2006, was my first anniversary of being in the corporate world. One year ago today I started working my way to retirement. Now I’ve got a lot more to go…
Anyway, life’s been boring.
I will update you on a couple of things:
1.) Google Notebook: Lukesaysmoo (I’ve posted several [...]

Just a Number

by @ Tuesday, June 20th, 2006. Filed under Moo, Thought For The Day

Beyond the implications for job satisfaction and performance, others question the broader psychological and social effects of a hyperflexible culture:
“Who needs me?” is a question which suffers a radical challenge in modern capitalism. The system radiates indifference. It does so in terms of the outcomes of human striving, as in [...]

by @ Thursday, June 15th, 2006. Filed under Moo

Ok, so I wasn’t going to make a specific post about flag day, but it was yesterday. I was over at Annika’s Journal and she had this post and I found it very nice, so I’m going to swipe it from here.

by @ Sunday, June 11th, 2006. Filed under Freemasonry

Well, it’s Sunday night. I took nearly 3 hours to do laundry this evening because it seems that everyone in the apartment complex decided to do laundy tonight as well. Oh, well.
While waiting for my laundry to finish I tried to call Mamaw and Papaw, but their phone was busy each [...]

62 year anniversary

by @ Tuesday, June 6th, 2006. Filed under Moo, Thought For The Day

62 years ago today the largest known sea invasion began: D-Day
Not long after the Nazi forces began to lose ground in Europe.
Soon troops would begin finding parts of what would later be called the Holocaust.
The price for victory was high and today we still remember; may it be always thus.

Wow-I can sleep

by @ Thursday, June 1st, 2006. Filed under Moo

Hey! It’s 5:30 in the AM and I feel like a million bucks.
I went to the sleep center this evening and completed my sleep apnea adjustment. My CPAP (Constant Positive Air Pressure) machine is now set so that I can breathe through the night and actually sleep. At the 5 hour mark [...]
