Saw Randy Travis tonight in a free concert at the Kentucky State Fair and he sounds great live.
Mr. Travis isn’t one for dancing around, but his singing more than makes up for it. I would definitely encourage anyone who likes Country music to go see him live. Plus, he has a wonderful [...]

Been gone so long…
August 26th, 2004 · 1 Comment
Wow…I can’t believe it’s been nearly a week and half since I posted anything…
Anyway, I’ve been home since late Monday night. I got home later than I expected because I had to buy yet another new tire. Why you ask? Because I destroyed one.
Sigh. As it goes I was piddling around [...]

I say Moo! Now, I’ve only had one visitor today and I updated yesterday night and no one has visited to read it…so we’ll see if this gets some people to visit.
Plus, I just woke up from a nap and it’s really hot on my floor now.

Moving on

Some things change…a lot.
Friday of last week (8-13-04) was the last day of band camp for my high school and this makes two years that I’ve not gone in even for a visit during the rehearsals.
For that matter, I’ve meant to blog something about it, but it just never seemed pressing. [...]

Is it the fall?
August 13th, 2004 · 1 Comment
I just wanted to check with everyone and make sure that I didn’t sleep through summer.

For that matter we’re [...]

Sometimes it takes but a moment to rekindle old memories.
Sometimes the memories never awaken.
Sometimes memories long pushed away, return.
Sometimes a tear relieves the pain of memory.
Sometimes memory reminds of who I was.
Sometimes we forget the memories we share.
Sometimes the joy of times long forgotten return in our memories.
Sometimes we remember and say and do nothing.
Sometimes [...]

Water’s falling from the ceiling
August 10th, 2004 · 2 Comments
I woke up this morning to the sound of water dripping on plastic bags. There was drippage from the corner of my ceiling near my desktop and monitor…argh.
E-mailed the landlady…hopefulley we get this taken care of shortly because I don’t want my desktop to have to stay in Dr. 7’s room for very long.

Past, present, future
August 7th, 2004 · 3 Comments
From Lissa-Love’s “Present Living” post I thought I’d give a little follow up because she keeps harassing me about it…and because it is something to think about on occasion.
Anyway, I classifymyself as someone who lives in the present. I don’t dwell on the past or the future. I learn from my experiences and [...]

I’m lazy. Yes, I am. Very, very lazy…I’ve been promising Lissa-love that I’d write a post concerning a post of her’s (link coming later) about “when” people live. Past, present, future discussions. I said I live the present when we were talking…now I just need to take some time and [...]
