Luke says Moo!

My life and the world as I see it. It’ll mostly be a place for me to gripe and friends to keep up with me.

DISCO lives on at Rose

by @ Monday, September 22nd, 2003. Filed under School

The only place I know of where DISCO is still harming the world in force is Rose. I’ve got a DISCO test tomorrow. I’m so not wanting to take it…you think I could just go in and dance a bit for full credit? Prolly now.
For those of you who don’t know, DISCO [...]

Today

by @ Sunday, September 21st, 2003. Filed under Moo

I got to see Bob and Amber, and Ryan and Em. It was fun. Oh, and Mark was there too (he’s a house mate, so I see him a little more often).
We went to Wendy’s and then to Em’s apartment for some quality procrastination from homework time. That and we got all [...]

Underworld

by @ Sunday, September 21st, 2003. Filed under Movies

Underworld was a nifty movie. It had the good ‘ole Romeo and Juliet feel to it, and people got wasted with big guns.
It was a decent movie with an ok plot, background, and it even looked pretty good.
I only have one major problem area: weaponry.
Using a flush magazine you’ve got about 12 [...]

Something…

by @ Friday, September 19th, 2003. Filed under Moo

Arrrrgh, me maties! It’s Talk Like A Pirate Day! (Ok, so I’m like many hours late, but you get the idea.)
Anyway, the Lego Mindstorm set looks really cool. I hope ours works well enough that we actually get it done and working within the time allotted.
Ok…time to [...]

Bluegrass

I was listening to launch.yahoo.com today and I clicked the Nickel Creek fan “station” and was listening to them.
I’m already a fan, but I’ve heard a very small amount of their work. The station brought up a song called “Robin And Marian” (30 sec intro. in RealPlayer format). It’s got some [...]

Return of the King…

by @ Wednesday, September 17th, 2003. Filed under You're a geek when...

There are 90 days and 9 hours (EST) until the release of Return of the King. I can’t wait.
I really need to do some research before then though, so I’ll be able to go see the full trillogy’s screening…yeah, I know that’s nearly 10 hours in a theater in a day, but [...]

I like Wednesdays…

by @ Wednesday, September 17th, 2003. Filed under Moo

Wednesdays are good because I don’t have to get out of bed until noon at the earliest. I got up a little earlier, so I can eat a leasurly lunch.
Not having to be at school for work until 1:30 is absolutely wonderful. Yay, for “mid-week-weekends.” This is the first [...]

28 Days…

by @ Wednesday, September 17th, 2003. Filed under School

Just so everyone knows: There are 28 days until fall break!!! Yay!
Also, today Mr. Leister who was the first to teach me the great sciences (physics and chemistry) will be undergoing surgery. It’s somewhat serious, but I’m sure he’ll come out ok. So if you would pray for him, I’d be appreciative.

More RIAA…

by @ Tuesday, September 16th, 2003. Filed under Moo

Yeah, I know. Just what everyone wants to hear more about, the RIAA. Anyway, I’ve got two stories about the RIAA.
The one from the NY Times is about how we’re a nation of cheaters and that the current young culture’s standards allows for easy manipulation of others work…I enjoyed the cut [...]
