Okedy, dokey. I have finally gotten Akismet to work properly and thus I’ve turned off the registration requirement for making comments. So far Akismet has caught about 300 spam comments coming in to my blog. So long as it keeps working I’ll keep comments turned on without registration.

I attempted to turn off the required login, but I received three spam messages within 5 minutes. So I’m sorry, but until I find a good way to keep the spam away I’ll have to require registration. (I may just need to update WordPress, but I’m lazy per the previous post.)

For those of you wondering: I’ve activated the system that requires you to signup on my site to be able to post comments.
