Ok, so I haven’t posted in…a very, very long time. I “write” for a living so sitting here and writing isn’t at the top of the list for things to do. Anyway, just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
I was installed as Senior Warden of Charles F. Frank Lodge #760 in Zionsville, Indiana yesterday afternoon. It was a wonderful event. As soon as the battery charges from my camera I’ll get pictures loaded online and share.
In other news I ordered a copy of Sun Tzu’s Art of War from Amazon. The Gile’s translation - the delux version or whatever. It has the original Chinese (well using modern character set for easier printing) and the translation facing one another in the first section. The second section includes the translation and Gile’s comments. Giles was head of the British museum of something or the other so he supposedly was an extremely good fit for getting the job done and done well. Of course, he did this in the early 1900’s so I only hope I don’t have to translate from English to English.
If I get to reading that I might get the urge to write about. So we’ll see how that goes.

it’s really bad when Bob S. posts more often on his blog than you do on yours.

Or that you post on his blog more than on yours!

Hi Luke!
Welcome to the small, but hopefully growing Freemason community on WordPress. Most of the Masonic chatter seems to happening on Blogger or LJ.
Congrats on being installed in the West. I was just de-installed from the East last week, after a really great year in Friendship Lodge No. 33 in Southington, CT.
Enjoy your Sun Tzu. I read that back in the 80s when everybody was turning Japanese, but it’s probably worth another look, especially now that I’ll have more free time.
