62 years ago today the largest known sea invasion began: D-Day
Not long after the Nazi forces began to lose ground in Europe.
Soon troops would begin finding parts of what would later be called the Holocaust.
The price for victory was high and today we still remember; may it be always thus.
It is justice, not charity, that is most wanting in the world.
–Mary Wollstonecraft, 1759 - 1797
Memories are the hunting horns
Whose sound dies on the wind.
–Guillaume Apollinaire, 1880 - 1928
The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes.
–Brother Sir Winston Churchill, 1874 - 1965
Today Dr. 7 informed me that in order to switch between doing two things on his desk (not his desktop or any other computing device…the physical desk) he thinks to himself “Alt-Tab.” Which is odd that I occasionally do the same thing. Hm.
Anyway, I thought that was odd.
Well, work’s been busy. Lodge activities have been busy, and now I have a few minutes. Friday I went to Terre Haute to see a Master Mason degree for 2 newly made brothers at my mother lodge (Humboldt #42), then after sleeping for 2.5 hours I went to a lodge in Fishers to help with 2 more Master Masons, quick trip to the apartment and then to Zionsville to prep. for our grill out/lunch/activity, and then downtown to the Grand Lodge building to help with a group of 7 Master Masons. Very long, very fun day. That evening I went out for fun. What I can and can’t recall is kinda hazy.
Monday and today have been uneventful - watched the end of season 2 of Highlander. Oh, and I’ve started killing the weeds on my patio. Round-up has started making a dent in the weeds. It will be a while before I can reclaim my patio, but it should be fine in a few weeks.

Scary might be a better description than odd.
