Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the State of Luke says Moo!

I’m alive. Yup, that’s about it. I’m alive. If I were dead I probably wouldn’t be posting here at all, but as you can see I’m posting thus I must be alive.

Anyway, I really haven’t had much to say lately and who knows if I’ll have anything else to say for a while. I do think however that I will turn on the “e-mail to post” ability…that might get me to put a few more things up here as I’d be able to pull links and things from work without anyone noticing.

Speaking of work I don’t absolutely loathe it any more. I’ve gotten a little more adjusted to being at work, but I’ve also gotten my boss-lady to give me a little more real-time feedback and a little more trust. Plus, I’m working on what is essentially my own project so for the first time I can actually see what it is that my job is really supposed to do. And I had some expensive training last week which kinda sets me up to do more of this work that I’m doing now. So hopefully I can continue doing the work I enjoy. Plus, if I’m really lucky we’ll start to pick up jobs where we actually provide the expertise to do complete project leadership…that would be nice.

And I’ve also been assigned to the Membership Committee for Lodge. We’re going to be working on a mass mailing to the Zionsville area to see if we can drum up some interest in a Masonic Information Night. So if you know anyone in the Indy area who might be interested in Freemasonry have them hit me up via e-mail or this site or something. We’re also going to start organizing a monthly Saturday breakfast to help get people to stop by the Lodge and to make some money as we’re going to have a tight year paying for keeping the lodge building itself going. Plus, if we get people to the lodge building it helps the community realize we’re not totally secret and menacing.

So if you have any ideas or suggestions about how to build a membership of the 20-40 male crowd let me know. (That’s the current target demographic, but we’ll accept members older than that and younger to age 18.)
