Hey there! Looks like I’m a weekend blogger.
Anyway, just thought I’d give you a heads up on my class. I got a 50% on my first test. Which amazingly enough is 7 percent higher than the average. Due to the pretty curve I have a B- (yes, that’s a B minus). I haven’t figured out exactly what GPA corresponds to a B-, but it doesn’t matter so long as it’s about a D.
Labs have been going really rather well…I’m very lucky that I went when I did. I’m in there with 5 Butler students and they’re all rather smart and can do the work. Which is nice. I chime in when necessary and give the “dumb” answer - which usually leads to the correct answer as my interpretation of the question ends up being either much, much more difficult, or much, much, easier than what is intended. Either way it tends to lead to a good grade. Which incidently our lab TA likes us…or likes the fact that we can work semi-independantly and not annoy him the entire time.
I’m off to home for the weekend. Gonna celebrate Dad’s and Papaw’s birthdays some time. And I forgot to call to setup a hair cut with Robin, so I guess I’ve either got to break down and go somewhere else or just let it grow for another month… I haven’t decided.
Oh, and the Midget sent me a link to an anti-spam plugin for WordPress that does auto spam determination. So as soon as I get a WordPress API key I’ll get that setup and turn off the required resistration and login.
And just so everyone knows I’m now a member of the Membership Retention and Recruitment Commitee (at least that’s the gist; I don’t remember if we have a title yet or not) at Lodge. So if you have any ideas on how to get people to start attending Lodge instead of just paying dues or if you know how to get people interested then lemme know. We’ll see how things turn out…we’re already thinking of a monthly newsletter and I’ve more or less volunteered to be editor. ![]()

Okay. I’m in, but not sure how that worked!
