Ok, I can understand aquiring new buisness models and other cool stuff, but $2.6 billion for Skype?
All the tech stuff I’ve read says that it shouldn’t be a good idea to do that. Makes me wonder what eBay has in store for Skype? Will it die a slow death as eBay tries to make it do things it was never designed to do? Will they use it to expand their market? Could they possibily use it to make something cool/useful/new/powerful?
I guess we’ll see, but for $2.6 billion I’d hope there’s a party going on at Skype right now…
