Wow, I’m 22…I’m getting old.
I’ve got a job interview scheduled with ExactTarget.com tomorrow morning in Indy. Should be interesting.
They seem to be rather interested. The recruitment person from there contacted me through Rose’s e-recruiting system before I had even heard about them. (I just reread her original e-mail and it appears as if someone or the system gave her my resume.) Anyway, the company seems interesting and it’s not too far from home. Now if I can just convince them to hire me then it’ll be all good.
And I’m unhappy with the status of my programming education. I have a very, very, very basic understanding of C and a decent understanding of Java. And it needs to be the other way around. I’ve learned a lot about C in the past couple of months, but it needs to be more. So many companies want engineers to be experienced with C and know how to use C out of the box…and I can’t do that. My learning curve will slow things down because I don’t pick up programming languages that quickly. I’m much better than I was 3 or 4 years ago, but still not all that great.
Sigh. Oh, well. I guess I’ll more about C as I go along.
