Yay! It’s time for a post.

Wow, I’ve been busy. But we’ll save that for later.

As Mathias pointed out the other day I’ve passed the 500 posts mark. Yay!

Now, if I can get back in gear then I might be able to keep up with my approximate post a day. But I’ve fallen seriously behind and don’t think I’ll reach that by my second blog-birthday. Oh, well.

I’ve got a political post in the works. Working quotes and ideas. Pretty much it’s going to be ranty stuff about Social Security and the “nanny” state.

And Dr. Carlson in SciFi pointed us to something called flash fiction and gave us an assignment to write our own flash fiction (scifi-ish). It’s to be turned in on March 31. I’ve already got mine started…88 words and an idea. I’m supposed to stop under 500 words.

I’m going to have to work hard to get a point/story across in 500 words…normally I don’t say anything worthwhile in my essays until the end of the 1000 words or so.

I’ve got an interview tomorrow with SEP (a software programming company). Should be interesting. I’ve interviewed with them before. I’m not particularly ready and I’m not particularly sure they will want anything to do with me, but I need the practice and there’s the slimmest of chances they might be willing to hire me.

And I think I’m going to work on what I post here. I think I’m going to start making myself post every day with a word quota. That way I’ll get more experience at writing and possibly be able to make myself work on a story of some sort. I’m thinking I may start doing more personal fiction posts and posts about what I’m reading (mostly for class right now). Maybe I’ll even get in some good philosphy…or not.
