Luke says Moo!

My life and the world as I see it. It’ll mostly be a place for me to gripe and friends to keep up with me.

It’s been busy

by @ 2:09 pm on September 18, 2004.

Ok, time for a post. I’ve had several thoughts come and go about things I wanted to post about. I prolly could’ve posted them, but decided to do other things instead.

I felt intelligent for a little while this week as I worked on my Electromagnetic Compatibility homework…I was actually capable of doing most of the problems on my own. I only needed Dr. 7’s help to remind me of some trigonometry rules and uses…it’s been a while since I’ve had to readily use that stuff. Anyway, I did most of the homework and the lab for this week correctly.

As for last week, I was going to do a post about the Blues festival, but I don’t think I am now…I linked Lissa’s post about it and that pretty much covers it. I still don’t think that blonde guy was really hitting on me. Either way it was a good weekend and I picked up the Clayton Miller Band’s cd which is good.

Hm, and I met with Rose’s President yesterday morning to discuss the Thorn’s webpage with him, the other Co-EIC and our Thorn Midget webmaster. We have some good ideas now we just need to implement them…meaning we have to find more people willing to put in a little time to get it off the ground. Midget says if we can get a good backend going we’ll need to do very little maintenance on the software. The real problem we seem to have is that we know very few people who can do good frontend programming in a newspaperish fashion - i.e. we’ll want to change the front page every week to be a different layout…and we can’t spend more than a couple of hours designing it weekly.

Oh, well. We’ll see how that goes.

Next on today’s agenda is my senior design group project meeting from 3pm to 6pm to create our project design specification (PDS) document. Which has to have at least be seen by our client by Friday at noon when we have to turn in a nearly finished draft. Hopefully this’ll work out smoothly and we’ll get a decent one sent out today.

Then I’ve got a pre-football game dinner with the Pres. of Rose and the Pres. of an Indian (as in from India) technology school…I don’t have the exact name nearby. So free food is good…

Now, let’s hope I can start pounding one of these posts out a little more often so I’m not typing in a huge freakin’ essay.

  1. Lissa Says:

What are you talking about “a huge freakin’ essay”? Four hundred twenty words? Bah. :-)
And it’s Professor Rajpal Singh Sirohi of the Indian Institute of Technology. If I spoke “Indian”, I would want to go there. Except for my lack of work ethic. That would get me in trouble, I think…

(Sorry, I’ll go ramble on my own blog. Hope your day goes well. Enjoy the free food.)
