Saw Randy Travis tonight in a free concert at the Kentucky State Fair and he sounds great live.
Mr. Travis isn’t one for dancing around, but his singing more than makes up for it. I would definitely encourage anyone who likes Country music to go see him live. Plus, he has a wonderful stage presence and is kinda funny when he’s telling stories.
And Lissa-love stopped by the house today to say hello on her way to the Haute. Hehe, just hope the family didn’t frighten her too much.
And her little sister is going to be a giggle box exactly like Lissa.

Many bands/artists sound great live, even those I don’t really like when I hear them on the radio. Watching an artist perform live changes it all. (Sometimes I only hear what the hell they’re actually singing when I heard that song live!)
Have you heard the live version of “How Long” by RHCP? That stuff is so full of energy!

Luke, how could your family possibly scare anyone? They are too sweet, except your dad who tells it like it is, hehe, and that I liked

Hee hee. I like your family. They made me think about a few things. (Like I don’t think enough already, right?) Bob’s right: they aren’t scary at all.

Oh, and stop with the Lissa-love…ness. Thorn-Bob’s bad enough with his “Lissapoo”.

We are just your average Ozzie and Harriet family, right?

See, I’m a loser because I had to look up who Ozzie and Harriet were (although I’d heard the reference before)…
“The Nelsons embodied wholesome, “normal” American existence so conscientiously (if blandly) that their name epitomized upright, happy family life for decades.” (From here)
Hehe. Interesting analogy…

You didn’t think I meant Ozzy and his wife of the Osbournes did you?

This might be a better comparison– The Cleavers- Ward, June, Wally, and the Beaver. Jeremy does remind you of the “little goofball” to quote the older, wiser brother. And believe it or not Luke does try to look out for his “little” brother.

I didn’t think you meant the Osbournes (well, not for more than about five seconds), but only because I’d heard the “Ozzie and Harriet” reference before the formers’ show came out.
Somehow, my brain wants to halt and reboot on the idea that someone only a handful of years younger is a “little” brother to be protected/babied/whatever. Could be the 14 years between me and my younger sibling, and the fact that my older siblings never treated me as such.
Leave it to Beaver? That conjures funny images…
