Test 2 down…

by @ 4:13 pm on January 29, 2004.

Ok, ECE 300 (Signals and Systems) test #2 is over. I think I did a decent job. I’m thinking about a 70% is where I’m going to end up. That’d be really nice.

Oh, yesterday was the Internship/Co-op Fair here at Rose. I actually think I sounded intelligent to a couple of places. There are 4 jobs I’m actually going to work hard for, and one that I’ll apply for and if I’m offered it keep it as a back up. (As my blog gets really odd hits from some places I’m not going to drop any names.)

I just got this thing from the ECE department about research opportunities at the University of Maryland. They want you to have a 3.3 gpa (which I lack), but all the skills they say I should have I’ve gotten good grades in those classes, and R said that applicants can send in an essay and explain why they would be a good candidate even with a low gpa. I might give that a try.

The 4 candidates for the Rose-Hulman President’s position have been on campus and given their spiel. I know of one guy that’s totally not in the running any more and another guy that’s kinda put his foot in his mouth making him low on the list…the other two are very good candidates. The one seems much better than the other, but he also seems waaaay to good to be true; he’s almost everything I want in a President, but I’m thinking too much of a good thing…need to do a little more reading before I write an editorial as to which I would pick.

Ok, time to go to a faculty and student discussion of the candidates…then a Microsoft presentation…then work on the Thorn…then work on lab…and then…and then…class.

The hits aren’t coming from the initials C.I.A. is it?
